Hiking the Napali Coast of Kaua’i (Video)

by Starre Vartan · 03/28/12

I made an Eco Chick Escapes exclusive video of a Napali coast hike I took, back when I was staying at the St. Regis in Princeville. (Check out my full green goes luxe review of the hotel here). Just putting this video together made me relaxed and happy. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting the hike video. I’ve been reading about this hike in the guidebooks; it’s nice to get a preview.

How long did it take you – to get from Ke’e to Hanakapiai Beach? Round trip?

    Did you pack a lunch?

    mahalo!

Hi Glenn, I think it took us about 1 1/2 hours each way or a bit less, with some stopping for the video and to take pictures (but going at a good pace otherwise). It’s two miles of up and down and it rained for about 2/3 of the first half our our hike, which is typical – but a light, tropical rain, so not like it really stopped or slowed us down or was uncomfortable in any way. No, we didn’t bring lunch, but I think we had nut bars and water at the beach. Have fun!
